Two students at Cooper Union have come up with a box they say uses 15-20 percent less cardboard than traditional models, which might make a big difference in protecting the environment. 100 billion cardboard boxes are produced in the United States each year, and many of them end up in landfills. The new design is called the Rapid Packing Container, and aside from just saving cardboard, it’s easier to open and recycle, its designers say. Check out their invention below:
