Playwright Karen Malpede says that “We know we cannot save the Earth until we change the stories people tell.” And she’s aiming to do just that with her new eco-play “Extreme Whether” that puts family fights about climate change on stage. There’s an indiegogo campaign going on now to mount a full NYC production in March 2014 with an endorsement from climate scientist James Hansen. I’m all-in for connecting people with climate science however we can, including the performing arts that can reach hearts as well as minds.
