Facebook unveiled a new feature Monday that might help drive more funds to some of your favorite nonprofits. By clicking the new “Donate Now” button, you’ll be able to enter your payment info and immediately contribute to the cause. Facebook launched the feature after seeing the response to its partnership with the International Federation of Red Cross to provide support to victims of Typhoon Haiyan last month, which allowed users to donate directly to the relief effort through Facebook. “After seeing the generosity of people around the world toward this effort, we’ve been inspired to help everyone donate, at any time, to the organizations they care about most,” Facebook said in a press release. Nineteen nonprofits are now accepting donations through Facebook, and plans to expand the feature to other nonprofits are in the works.
